God wired us to be in community. Then He called us into His church so we could connect with Him and others in meaningful ways!
If you’re new to Seymour Lake, one of the best ways to get acquainted is to join a Connect Group. They’re a great way to meet people who are traveling through a similar stage of life or to get connected to those with whom you share a common interest. And although you don’t have to commit to participating in a group for a lifetime, you might still come away with some lifelong friends!
Our current offerings are shown below but we are always looking to start new groups, so please let us know if you have an interest you think others might share. If you’d like to learn more about any group shown below, just check on its box and the group leader will contact you to answer any questions you might have.
Daughters of Encouragement (a.k.a. “The DOE Group”)
Meets weekly on Thursdays @ 11 a.m.
Originally this women’s group was drawn together by their compassionate hearts and their shared desire to provide comfort and care to those who are struggling. Over the years, they have brought hope to the hurting, by sharing simple words of encouragement to all those God has placed into their path, both inside and outside this church.
Each week they devote time to fellowship, prayer, study, and serving others. If your gift is encouraging others, they’d love to have you join them!

Meets weekly on Thursdays @ 6:30 p.m.
This group was formed by gathering a few young adults from various faith communities together, who share a common interest in connecting to Jesus, growing in their faith, and reaching out to serve together. They begin each week by sharing dinner and a time for socializing first and afterward they devote time to praying, studying God’s word, and/or serving others.
